 I definitely enjoyed working on this piece. It shows Amethyst in her different incarnations/looks from her earlier DC appearance to the latest. I wasn't able to read most of the comics she appeared in, but I think I still have copies of random issues from the original maxi-series. The title was one of those non-superhero comics that came out of the 80s that I really liked. It had an interesting concept and some memorable characters. Who could forget a place called Gemworld or such villains as Dark Opal or a Sardonyx? Sardonyx, in fact, became one of usernames in some of the local message boards I'm in.
